ROS/Open-Source
Democratizing Technology
Open-source technology is creating a paradigm shift in the industrial world. It is democratizing technology, making industrial robotics more accessible, scalable, customizable, and easier to program and support. Companies and organizations such as Amazon, GigaFactory, SpaceX, Intrinsic (Alphabet), and NASA utilize open-source robotics to enhance their industrial automation processes daily.
This trend began in 2007 with the development of the Robot Operating System (ROS) at Stanford University. Since then, open-source technology has continued to significantly impact and shape the field of robotics. One of the most notable effects is the reduction in costs, which has made industrial robotics more accessible to a broader audience.
Recognizing the growth of open-source technology in robotics and automation, our mission is to provide the tools that will help prepare tomorrow's workforce. We deliver cost-effective, industrial-level robotics and automation lab solutions built on open-source technology for STEM education in K-12, college, and university programs. Open-source robotics and automation labs teach students real-world skills related to programming and integration for industrial automation.
We can help your educational program move closer to a 1:1 learning ratio, offering a more effective hands-on learning experience for your students.

COST-EFFECTIVE INDUSTRIAL ROBOTICS & AUTOMATION
advanced robotics & automation at a fraction of the cost
move your robotics program to a 1:1 learning environment

CIRP
ATMAE.org Credential
Certified Industrial Robotics Programmer
The Certified Industrial Robotics Programmer (CIRP) credential from the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE) recognizes individuals who demonstrate expertise in programming open-source industrial robots using the Blockly programming language and have completed 40 contact hours working with the OSPRE Automation Lab.
